Establishment of large-scale vaccination site for COVID-19

Currently in Kagoshima Prefecture, COVID-19 infections have been spreading rapidly especially among young people. As a result, large-scale vaccination sites have been set up in Kagoshima City and Kirishima City to promote the vaccine booster shot (third dose) in young people. If you wish to take this vaccination, please proceed to do so as soon as possible.

1 Vaccination Site (Kagoshima City)

2 Period

6 days: from 26 April 2022 (Tue) - 1 May 2022 (Sun)

- 26 April 2022 (Tue) - 28 April 2022 (Thu)

4 Eligibility

Prefectural citizens aged 18 and over who wish to receive the third vaccination

(whose second vaccination was taken at least 6 months ago)

5 Vaccine Type

The vaccine used will be the Moderna/Takeda vaccine.

This vaccination can be taken regardless of the vaccine type used in your first and second vaccination.

6 Things to bring on the day of vaccination

1. Vaccination voucher for the booster shot (issued by the municipality as listed on your resident card)

2. Pre-examination slip (please fill in and bring the slip that you received from the municipality)

3. Identity verification (driver's license, my number card, health insurance card etc.)

4. Documents stating the date of your second vaccination (certification of vaccination etc. (app records are also acceptable))

- Note: This is not required if the vaccination voucher or pre-examination slip indicates the date of the second vaccination.

5. Prescription record (for those who are currently on medication)

Reservations for 18-39 years old applicants will start first from 9:00AM on 19 April 2022.

Kagoshima Prefecture is offering free PCR Tests for prefectural citizens who are concerned about if they have caught COVID-19 but are asymptomatic (not having symptoms)

Information regarding the Temporary Special Benefit for Households with Resident Tax Exemption etc. (100,000 yen per household)

The Temporary Special Benefit for Households with Resident Tax Exemptions (100,000 yen per household) is a new benefit to help households that are exempt from the per capita rate of resident tax, and households that have seen their financial situation drastically change due to the influence of the coronavirus pandemic

To receive the benefit, you must complete the following procedures.

1. Payment amount of the benefit

100,000 yen per household

2. When the benefits are paid

Differs by municipality

3. Procedures required to obtain the benefit

・Households with all members exempt from the per capita rate of resident tax in the 2021

fiscal year: you will be sent a confirmation document by the municipality you reside in.

(You must send back completed document).

・Households who have seen their income drastically decrease since January 2021 and now

in a situation equivalent to being exempt from the per capita rate of resident tax

(Households with a sudden change in family finances): you must submit an application
