Multilingual Instructions on Filling In the Special Cash Payment Application Form

In response to Covid-19, the Japanese government is providing \100,000 to every resident of Japan.

Multilingual instructions for filling in the application form can be found on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' website.

2 The documents featured here are samples. They cannot be used for your application.

3 The method of filling in the form differs between municipalities. If you do not understand how to fill in the form, please check with your local authorities.

Extension of Suspension Period of Driving Licence Renewal

The period where driving licence renewal services are suspended has been extended from 6th May to 10th May. Services besides driving licence renewal operate as per usual.

There is a procedure for those whose licence renewal date is imminent. Please call the Kagoshima Traffic Safety Education Center to enquire.

Information on the postponement of payment of water and sewage bills

National government offices regarding water and wastewater utilities, MHLW, MLIT, MAFF, and MOE have requested local utilities to provide those who face difficulty in paying their bills due to the economic impact of COVID-19 temporarily with grace period or other generosities. For further information on the available services and the following procedure, please contact the local utility office.

Regarding the Renewal of Driving Licences

Driving licence renewal services will not be provided from 20th April to 6th May. Services besides driving licence renewal will continue as usual.

For those whose licence renewal date is approaching (expiring by 6th May), there is a way to extend the validity. Please call the Kagoshima Traffic Safety Education Center to enquire.
