Alert level of Covid-19 reduced down to Stage 3

Kagoshima Prefectural Government (KPG) has reduced the alert level of Covid-19 down to Stage 3 1st October, but still remains under the status of caution against the infection expansion.

All residents are required

  1. To refrain from non-essential, non - urgent outings to high - risk area (Tokyo, Aichi Prefecture, Osaka Prefecture, Hyogo Prefecture, Okinawa Prefecture).
  2. To take prevention measures such as washing hands, wearing masks and keeping social distance.

Request for shortening the business hours of restaurants has canceled.

Information on the large-scale inoculation to Covid-19

Kagoshima Prefectural Government (KPG) is going to set up a large-scale inoculation venues to Covid-19 in Kagoshima City and Kirishima City for younger generation, pregnant women and school teachers.

1 Period of installation

(1) for the first vaccination  13th ~ 26th, September

(2) for the second vaccination 11th ~ 24th, October

Note: Venue in Kirishima is not available on 24 September and 22 October.

2 Place of installation

(1) Kagoshima: 5th floor of "Li-Ka 19/20", 19-40 Chuo-cho, Kagoshima City

(2) Kirishima: "Kokubu Health Center", 2-27, 3-chome, Kokubuchuo, Kirishima City

3 People who can receive the vaccine

(1) Residents aged 16 to 39

(2) Pregnant women (including family members)

(3) Teachers working for schools

(4) Others

4 How to reserve

(1) By internet --- Application is accepted from 7th September 9:00 at all hours. https://jump.mrso.jp/kagoshima/

(2) By phone---Application is accepted from 7th September 9:00 -17:00

*Application by internet is recommended to avoid busy line.

Note: Pregnant woman (including family members) is prioritized to be accepted the application on 5th and 6th September 9:00-17:00 at the call center (099-263-8440).

Kagoshima Prefectural Government issued their self-determined state of emergency declaration covering from 13 August until 31.

Kagoshima Prefectural Government (KPG) has raised the alert level of Covid-19 up to its maximum level "Stage 4" and issued their self-determined state of emergency declaration.

The state of emergency declaration is to be valid from 13 August until 31.

Under the declaration, KPG strongly requests as follows.

To local residents

・To cancel or postpone non-essential or non-urgent travel between prefectures.

・To refrain from non-essential or non-urgent outing.

・To remain in place when having fever.

・To suspend going to some designated islands.

To those out of Kagoshima prefecture

・To cancel or postpone non-essential or non-urgent travel to Kagoshima prefecture.

・To make sure to take PCR test when coming to Kagoshima prefecture.

KPG also requests local restaurants and bars in Kagoshima City, Nishino-omote City, Nakatane Town, Minamitane Town, Kirishima City, Tokunoshima Town, Amagi Town and Isen Town to close by 8 p.m.

In addition, most prefectural facilities are basically to close or suspend their part of services during the period of the declaration.

The Governor of KPG recognizes current situation of Covid-19 seriously critical and strongly asks for the cooperation of all persons involved.
