The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport have made the 'Guide to Looking for a Home' in 14 different languages for foreigners to use as a reference when looking for a home in Japan.
The guide includes basic knowledge and useful information for property searching in Japan, such as how to search for a property, contract procedures, and things to be aware of after moving out. Please use this guidebook as a reference when looking for a home.
In addition, the 'Apartment Search Guidebook' (leaflet) has also been printed in easy-to-understand Japanese. This leaflet provides key information that can be used when looking for a home to rent, as well as introducing real-estate websites that are available in foreign languages.
Please use the 'Guide to Looking for a Home' together with the 'Apartment Search Guidebook'.
